TP600 NG is first and foremost an external weather seal for window and door perimeter joints.
Established application — window and door perimeter sealing.
Established core application
Weather protection with movement capacity
Installed around correctly sized window and door perimeter joints, TP600 NG helps resist wind-driven rain while remaining vapour permeable and able to accommodate normal joint movement.
How to select the tape
Measure the joint at several points and choose a tape whose stated range covers both the narrowest and widest gap. The tape depth must also suit the available joint.

Beyond windows and doors
One sealing principle. Many framed apertures.
A continuous flexible seal around a framed industrial aperture.
The perimeter is the opportunity
Every opening creates a joint.
If a framed opening, access panel, casing or prefabricated module is poorly sealed, the remaining path can admit wind-driven rain, uncontrolled airflow, heat loss and sound transmission.
TP600 NG is installed in a compressed state and then expands through its selected application range. The flexible foam maintains contact with adjoining surfaces as the joint moves, helping form a continuous seal without relying on a wet-applied bead alone.
This principle can extend beyond conventional glazing—subject to the joint dimensions, substrates, exposure and required performance.
Technical note: Windows, façades and building or civil-engineering movement joints are established applications. Industrial, marine, modular and vehicle uses are potential applications that require project-specific technical assessment. TP600 NG is not a structural fixing, load-bearing component or engineered anti-vibration mount.

Performance in the joint
What can TP600 NG help a correctly designed joint do?
Select each performance card to reveal the important qualification behind the benefit.
Limit air leakage paths
Expanding foam helps close otherwise open perimeter gaps.
Performance context
Where a declared airtightness value is required, test the completed assembly; the TP600 NG data sheet does not state a standalone airtightness classification.
Support acoustic control
Closing perimeter gaps can help limit airborne sound leakage.
Performance context
Final acoustic performance depends on the complete wall, frame, panel or enclosure construction; no standalone dB reduction is claimed.
Resist wind-driven rain
A correctly sized seal can resist severe weather entering a framed opening.
Performance context
Resistance is up to 600 Pa only where indicated for the selected tape size and joint range. It is not a submerged or head-of-water seal.
Accommodate movement
Soft, flexible foam maintains contact as the joint moves.
Performance context
It may cushion minor non-structural interfaces, but it is not a substitute for a designed anti-vibration mounting system.
Long, variable joints around personnel doors, shutters, service hatches and framed openings may suit a continuous flexible seal between metal frames and compatible surrounding substrates.
Technical considerations
Confirm joint geometry, exposure, expected movement, frame coating and compatibility with masonry, concrete or cladding before specification.
Suitable stationary enclosure joints may benefit from a flexible perimeter seal that helps limit air and sound escaping around access frames.
Technical considerations
Respect movement, temperature, substrate and exposure limits. Avoid moving components, oils, solvents and aggressive chemicals. TP600 NG is not an engineered machinery mount or safety-rated pressure seal.
Framed louvres, plant-room openings, air-handling casings and fixed duct interfaces can benefit from a continuous perimeter seal where the dimensions and service temperature are suitable.
Technical considerations
Assess defined duct-pressure, leakage, hygiene, fire and smoke requirements for the complete system. The 600 Pa figure is a wind-driven-rain classification—not a duct-pressure rating.
Potential above-waterline uses include suitable joints around deckhouse windows, exposed louvres, access frames and equipment enclosures subject to severe weather and movement.
Technical considerations
Confirm substrates, coatings, salt exposure, movement and approval requirements. TP600 NG is not intended for submerged joints, standing water or a head of water.
Factory-controlled installation can suit repeatable perimeter seals around pre-installed windows, doors, façade openings and appropriately designed panel interfaces.
Technical considerations
Design the interface around the specified tape range and account for transport, module movement, site exposure and the finished assembly’s performance requirements.
Potential uses include suitable cabin windows, body apertures, service hatches and fixed equipment enclosures in specialist commercial or off-highway vehicles.
Technical considerations
OEM validation is required for movement, fatigue, temperature, water, chemicals, fire performance and industry approvals. No automotive, rail, defence or military approval is claimed.

Technical answers
TP600 NG FAQs.
Open a question for a concise, qualified answer.
Can TP600 NG be used for more than windows and doors?
Yes. Windows, façades and building or civil-engineering joints remain established uses. Industrial, marine, modular and vehicle applications should be assessed against the joint design and project requirements before specification.
Does TP600 NG make a joint waterproof?
TP600 NG is a weather seal against wind-driven rain, rated up to 600 Pa for the indicated sizes and ranges. It is not intended for submerged joints, standing water or a head of water.
Can Compriband improve air tightness?
It can help close paths through which uncontrolled air would otherwise pass. Where a declared airtightness value is required, test the complete assembly because the data sheet does not state a standalone airtightness classification.
Can TP600 NG help reduce sound transmission?
The manufacturer lists acoustic insulation as a benefit. Sealing gaps can help limit airborne sound leakage, but performance depends on the complete assembly; no untested dB reduction is claimed.
Does TP600 NG reduce vibration?
It is not an engineered anti-vibration mount. In suitable non-structural joints, the flexible foam may cushion minor movement and reduce direct hard-surface contact.
Can it be used against metal frames and machinery housings?
The data sheet records compatibility with a broad selection of common substrates. The actual coating, contamination, chemicals, temperature and joint movement must still be checked.
Can TP600 NG be used in marine environments or vehicles?
It may be considered for suitable non-submerged perimeter and movement joints, but these are non-standard applications requiring project-specific or OEM assessment and validation.
How do I select the correct tape size?
Measure the joint at several points. Select a tape whose stated range covers the narrowest and widest gaps and whose depth suits the available joint. Seek advice for irregular, exposed or non-standard joints.
